FT BEST BOAT PIC

This 24′ Carolina Skiff seats 4 people comfortably and gives everyone a smooth, dry ride over the bay water. Sunny spring and summer days are great on the water, but occasionally Texas weather along the Gulf Coast can be a little unpredictable. In the fall and winter months, a light jacket or coat may be in order for your particular day on the water so dress accordingly.

Helping customers – beginners to advance – catch beautiful Redfish is the primary goal for Capt. Charlie and Capt Aerich, but don’t be surprised if you catch a Speckled Trout, Black Drum or Flounder – all are good eating fish!!) They know exactly where the fish are and can tell you exactly where to cast.  Then get ready for some heart-pounding excitement as you hook a fish and reel it into the boat.  It’s an unforgettable experience!!

ABOUT YOUR TRIP:

Live bait is either purchased or caught prior to your trip departure. Both Redfish Charter Captains prefer to catch fresh bait on the morning of your trip. Sometimes this can take a bit but makes for a much better catch as the bait is fresh and much more lively (versus bait that is exhausted and beat up from being in vats overnight at a bait stand.)

   FT5

State law requires that you have a valid fishing license with a saltwater stamp. You must have this license before boarding the boat; available at Walmart, HEB, many corner/convenience stores, and local tackle shops.

REDFISH CHARTERS SUPPLIES THE FOLLOWING – EVERY THING YOU NEED TO FISH SUCCESSFULLY!!

All rods and reels are furnished or you can bring your own – but do let the captain know when you call to reserve please.  He also has adult and children’s life vests, but some children may be more comfortable in their own USCG approved vest – and we want those kiddos happy and comfortable!!  If you want to wade fish, you do need to bring your own rod, reel and wading equipment.  (Captain’s Law: All kids 14 years of age and under must wear a life jacket when the motor is running – no exceptions.)

You’ll be fishing with live and/or dead bait. The bait of choice will be selected for your day on the water and your captain will bait the hook and cast it for you if you like.  Beginners don’t always know exactly where to cast but the captain will turn the reel over to you for the hook and catch!   Occasionally, customers like to experience a deck hand job, so if you’d like to pull-in or toss-over the anchor, just ask!  It’s heavy but many get a kick out of that.
